The Sports department at Yeshiva College is made up of dedicated, nurturing and driven coaches. The sport department offers the following; netball, soccer, cricket, swimming, tennis, athletics, cross country, chess, table tennis and touch rugby.
Over the past years, the Yeshiva College sports has seen some excellent achievements, including; the Primary School under 10 netball team are the D9 champions, our under 10 boys soccer team are Discovery Cup champions, and our chess team who are the Go for Chess champions for a couple years in a row now. Yeshiva College high school soccer team are Independent School Leagues Champions.

Grant flourished as a sportsman at school, receiving Provincial Colours for Swimming, Water Polo and Hockey. Grant did a post matric at Parktown Boy High on a sports scholarship for rugby. Grant has worked in the sports industry for almost 20 years, and has been involved with school sports at St. Stithians, Pridwin and The Ridge. He is the director of sports at Yeshiva College and is the energetic force behind our sports department.
Grant is very passionate about swimming, and has swum the Midmar Mile 13 times. He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, golfing and spending time outdoors.

The Girls High School has ten dedicated female sports coaches who are driven to guide our students to achieve sporting goals. The Girls High School offers students the following sports; netball, soccer, swimming, tennis, chess, cross-country and athletics. Our sports department has seen the Girls High School students achieve first-time milestones, such as 80% of netball players making it to the next level in the playoff stages in the league and sending team players to district trials for the first time in Yeshiva College history.

Rene has her honours in Sports Science and a degree in sports communication through the University of Johannesburg. Rene has represented South Africa for netball and coached teams who have gone on to win medals at international championships. Her goal has been to create a plausible sports department within the Girls High School where students can achieve sports accolades.
Rene enjoys working with children through sports and finds that her caring and loving manner helps to motivate the students to enjoy sports and movement.
